Podcasts make the 10 mile ride home a better place in winters depth. In November I was listening the the Dave Gorman show and heard them interview Bob Golding who was doing a one man play on the life of Eric Morcambe. It sounded great, he sounded great.
Then the reviews were more than great but I could not make the Westend to see it.
As a kid I would stay up late with mum and dad watching the Morcambe and Wise show. When I look back in my mind of memories, there it sits glowing happy gold in the childhood section.
So when I found it was coming to Cardigan I bought mum and dad tickets and we went to see it last night.
Everything good that everyone good has written about it is true . It was an older audience (I was a youngster in the crowd) and they responded as though it was Eric.
And a couple of time, as I sat their in the big chairs surrounded by parents it could have been the 70's for me to.
If you live near Rhyl, Monmouth,Greenock, Dundee, Inverness, Dunfermline, Arbroath, Omagh, Sligo, Navan, Dublin, Carlow, Thurles, Tralee, Wimborne, Welwyn Gdn City or Edmonton get some tickets and see a great man's life in 2 hours.
I bet he gets a standing ovation there to.
