Surfer and wetsuit designer Elsie Pinninger has a soundslide up on Nick Hands Slowcoast site, it's great.
THE BOY HOLDS HIS BLACKENED PALM TOWARD THE CAMERA. Soot rings his eyes. Behind him, two plumes of factory smoke billow into the choked sky. Soon it will begin to rain.
"The raindrops were black," says Antonin Kratochvil, who took the photograph.
It's a June morning in Manhattan, and a barefoot Kratochvil, 62, is lounging on a white couch in the Tenth Avenue loft he shares with his fourth wife, Gabriela, and two of his three sons. This is an uncommon moment of repose for a man who's so tightly coiled and peripatetic that he's known as "the Bouncing Czech." Family chaos swirls all around him, the floor a minefield of dump trucks belonging to his 19-month-old son, Gavyn. Gabriela, a willowy blonde 20 years younger than her husband, is simultaneously sautéing chicken at the stove, captioning photographs at her desk, and preparing to wake their teenage son, Wayne.
This is a daily occurrence for skaters, i still cannot believe it's illegal to skateboard. legal to drive a car, illegal to skateboard. laws are there to be broken sometimes and this happens to be one of them. never submit.[/youtube]

My 1989 volvo 240 is not scrap and does not need to be traded in for 2k to bail out the ailing car industry that is being subsidised to the tune of 300 million pounds by the government. It rolls on in anarchy, it was built to last longer than that.
Apart from keeping people in jobs what are the benefits of this scheme? i'm all ears.
Great news it's being extended then to subsidise it some more. i'm off to set fire to some money. Why cant we pay people to not make cars if we are paying for them to make them? surely that makes more sense Mandy.
