Andrew Groves is a freelance illustrator based in London. His work is best described in his own words...

"With a particular interest in the natural world, I aim to invent characters that explore the grotesque beauty of it's many beasts and creatures and the folklore that surrounds them."

Below is a personal piece he's just finished that fits the mood everywhere in the UK at the moment (except in Cardigan). He has also designed a howies t-shirt that we'll be releasing soon so keep an eye out for it.

You can see more of his work here > IMAKETHINGS

Good work Andrew!

I arrived at work today to find an early christmas present for the Creative team.

It's a poster by Chris. Unfortunately that's all the info we have on the designer so whoever you are Chris, we'd like to say thankyou, it's very much appreciated.

We like presents here at howies.

(hint hint...)

If there's one thing I've learned about driving the howies van is that it does NOT fit into conventional west wales multi-story carparks.

Dan Yeomans Art

As well as being a world class mountain biker, howies team rider Dan Yeomans is a dab-hand at painting. As Dan puts it, "the painting above is of Mal, a lovely old guy who pops by pretty much on a daily basis and tells wicked stories in his welsh accent that's really quite hard to understand".

You can see all his work here – http://www.danyeomans-art.com/ – including a painting he did recently for our Louise.

All artwork is available to purchase and he also does commissions, in case you're after something special.

Click here for some insanely great photos including shots by Ricky Adam,
who has worked with howies before.

Personally, I vote for Stéphane Candé.

Project GT

Say hello to my new bmx. It's a GT Fly. More specifically, it's my brothers GT Fly but judging by the condition it's in I don't think he cares much for it these days.

So I've decided to make it my new project. It doesn't need to be flash, it just needs to run. I'm gonna keep the budget down as much as possible, although I know for a fact it needs a new back wheel, at least.

Some bikes deserve a second chance.

If you have any suggestions on how to revamp this bike (other than "put in skip") please comment below. Ta.
