Watch this…

Go and put the kettle on, make yourself a cup of tea and please watch this.

It has to be the most beautiful and moving surf video I've seen in a long time, maybe ever.

One of those glimpses into another world that makes you want to change your life, unless you're lucky enough to feel as passionate about what you do already.

Thanks to Lizzie on our Facebook page for linking me to this.

Who's afraid of the dark?

Looks like the long hours of darkness wont be a problem at Strathpuffer, then.

Thanks to Tom at Carbon-Monkey for the loan of these Exposure lights.

Oops – £80 for a bit longer

Our site went wrong yesterday evening.

A server froze and the checkout stopped working for a few hours.

No one's fault, just one of those things.

It kind of messed up the £80 for 80 hours offer, which was due to end at 8pm.

We know a lot of you tried to place orders that didn't go through... so we've decided to extend the offer for a bit, until 8pm tomorrow evening (Wednesday the 8th December)

Until then, you can get the some of our best winter warmers for just £80, and if you use
the code SN87 at the checkout, we'll give you free postage and make sure your order is dispatched on a 24 hour special delivery.

Or if you'd rather place your order over the phone,
please call Emma, Naomi and James on 01239 614 122

And remember, this offer is also running in our shops.

Trouble ordering?

If anyone is having trouble placing orders this evening, please bear with us. The volume of traffic we've had through the site this evening has slowed everything down a bit.

Put the kettle on and try again in a minute, or us a call in the morning and we'll help you out. 01239 614 122

Cold and dark

I have a race coming up, so I should be training. Trouble is, it's dark and freezing cold outside so training has been losing out to sofas, blankets, fires, hot cups of tea and lie ins.

It always seems so easy to forget that I love riding in the dark, and that I don't feel the cold once I get into a rhythm.

Tonight I'll take the long way home.

This weekend only...

Ade and Co. are unloading the van at the sample sale in London right now. Hanging tops on rails, neatly folding legwear, getting ready for the traditional sample sale rush when they open the doors at 4pm this evening.

Ade's pop-up sample sales are always popular, but this one promises to be extra special, as the haul of stock that we've pulled together from the back warehouse this time is one of the best ever.

There's piles of merino base layers, midlayers & fleeces, warm jumpers, denim jeans (including some selvedge), canvas trousers, skirts, dresses, wax jackets, down jackets, cotton jackets, loads of t-shirts including some really rare and sought after designs from the back catalogue. All at unbeatable prices.

And of course, there's also the usual pile of slightly dodgy stuff in need of a bit of TLC with a stitch here or a new button there.

Unlike previous sample sales, there will be no top-up delivery over the weekend, so if you want the cream of the crop you will have to be down there early. Once it's gone, it's gone.

The howies sale is being held at the Old Truman Brewery on London's Brick Lane.
They've set up shop nearby the Big Chill Bar.

There's plenty of other stuff going on around Brick Lane with loads of places to eat, some great street art and plenty of interesting and quirky shops to browse through.

Even if you weren't planning to be in the area, it will be well worth the trip.

Opening times:

Thursday (25th Nov): 4pm til 8pm
Friday: 11am til 7pm
Saturday: 11am til 6pm
Sunday: 11am til 5pm

Pre-puffer blog 1

Last week we asked if anyone was crazy enough to join our team for Strathpuffer 24.

We had more people write in than I expected.
All so good that it was really hard to pick just one.

In the end we chose Hazel. She does sportswear design in Falmouth.
She sent this in a few weeks ago. And she has a nice blog here.

In 9 weeks, we'll be heading up North of Inverness to race our bikes through the night in the middle of winter. I hope everyone has their puffer jackets and warm gloves ready.

I'm torn between fear and excitement, but I know the fear will only last until my first lap.

P.S. I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone else who wrote in after my last blog. You were all amazing and I would honestly have liked to take a team of 30 up. I'll do my best to stay in touch with as many of you as I can and hopefully we can get to ride together at some point in the year.
