New T-shirt of the Week

This week's T-shirt of the Week is Bucket Tool.

Referencing perhaps the finest piece of software known to mankind – Photoshop (other image manipulation programmes are available). Used by graphic geeks like me the world over, Photoshop can do just about anything you can dream up.

Believe it or not, it can even colour your T-shirt a nice shade of yellow or slushpuppy blue.

Now don't forget to flatten your layers and save.

available in yellow for men and slushpuppy for women

T-shirt of the Week

Don't forget, this week’s T-shirt of the Week – ‘Polaroid’.

We did it because they announced that after next year, there won’t be any more Polaroid film.

A sad loss indeed.

In these digital days of instant gratification, it seems like we don’t have the patience to wait a whole minute for our pictures to develop.

But no amount of photoshop wizardry will ever match up to the beauty held within that thick white border. So buy up whatever film you can find and store it in your fridge, help keep Polaroid alive.

If you love our polaroid t-shirt of the week then you'll love this sweet app called poladroid.  Give it an image and it makes it into a polaroid. You even have to wait (and watch) for two minutes as it delevops on your computer screen.

Download it here.

The Hand Me Down Thinking

We live in times of limited resources but unlimited desire to consume them. The answer though is real simple: to consume less as consumers; and to make a better, lower impact designed product as manufacturers.

We will both have to take responsibility for our consumption.

A product that keeps working for longer uses less-resources in the end. The key ingredient to all this is quality.  To make something well, you know, the best you can do.

To go the extra mile that it takes to do that. Every stitch, every zip, every little feature considered. The weakest points made strong. Then, and only then, have we made something that will last the test of time. Guaranteed for a minimum 10 years.

Each product will come with a hand me down contract. You will sign who you want to leave the product to. This is legally binding.

We are expecting delivery of only a handful before christmas.

They are very very good.

London Sample Sale!

We have some exciting news for people who like bargains.

howies has teamed up with some great brands - People Tree, THTC, Tera Plana, Komodo, Vega and Hug to hold a sample sale on London's Brick Lane this weekend!

Ade usually runs the sample sales, but he's been really busy latley, so he has handed the sample sale crown to Hayley. She will be joined by James from our warehouse, who's also been on one of our sample sales before, and David, who deals with the shipments coming in from our factories.

This will be Hayley's second sample sale, and the first time she's been in charge, so be nice and queue in an orderly manner! I'm sure there will be lots of friendly faces.

We will be bringing plenty of jeans, t-shirts, jackets and jumpers and merino along, including some rare samples that never made it to sale and one-off t-shirt prints from our printshop, as well as the usual collection of stuff with dodgy zips and missing buttons.

The sale will run from Thursday to Sunday and will be held in the Dray Walk Gallery on Brick Lane in London:

The sale will be open from

6pm til 9pm on Thursday 27th Nov
10am til 8pm on Friday 28th Nov
11am til 7pm on Saturday 29th Nov
and 11am til 5pm on Sunday 30th Nov

The Dray Walk Gallery is at this address:
