Good Energy Wee Do tomorrow night

We still have tickets for tomorrow night's Wee Do with Good Energy.

It should be a really topical talk from Hugo House.

"People who are concerned about climate change and want to help stop global warming are switching their electricity supply to Good Energy 100% renewable electricity. By switching to Good Energy individuals are reducing their environmental impact and supporting a growing community of over 1000 generators who are making clean, green energy from sustainable sources. From solar and wind power to hydro and biogas, Good Energy is the renewable energy specialists."

Clean energy, renewable energy, green energy, ethical energy… Good Energy.

MrBowlegs1

Good old Mr Bowlegs the illustrator is down at our Carnaby Street shop
right now installing a new window display. It's going to be a good 'un.
(He'll be doing the Bristol shop window tomorrow by the way).

I'll give you a clue... it's monster-related. But that's it for now.

I'll blog his progress throughout the day. Stay tuned to see the final piece.

Globers

A while back in the summer I entered a competition with Globe Bikes, to write a blog for them, for their Globe Experience.  It was to see in the launch for their new 2010 range of bikes.  Suffice to say I won a place in the team of 18 bloggers world wide.

The blogs started on 1st November, when I received the Globe Roll.  The idea is for 3 months each of us are writting about our experiences on our bikes...not specifically product reviews, just our experiences.

Mine has gotten off to a slow start as I went off to India for 2 weeks.  But I'm back now, and getting back on it!  I'm not commuting to work as yet- just finding my feet in my spare time, cycling around north east London with my friends.  I haven't had a bike for years...since I was 8 years old I think.  I'm really enjoying getting back into cycling!

You can follow my blog from this link.

Spike Jonze + Adam Buxton

Spike Jonze is going to be doing a film Q & A in the Apple Store on Regent St today, and it's hosted by Adam Buxton. If you are going, I am jealous. Here's something from Spike:

It's from 5.15pm to 6pm, Regent Street, London W1.

We have some snippets from our previous Wee Dos at Carnaby Street, live to show you.

We had two great nights with the Rainforest Foundation and with Battersea Dogs home.  A big thank you to them for doing the talks, and also to all of you who came along!

Next fortnight we have the people from Good Energy power supply coming in to give a talk.  More details on that soon.

We are currently building a website which will host full video footage from each of the Wee Do talks we've had...so watch this space :)

Fair Christmas Fayre

fairchristmasfayre

If you are going to be doing your Christmas shopping in London this weekend, it would be worth checking out the Fair Trade Christmas Fayre at the Salvation Army on Oxford Street.  They've got eco gifts, recycled gift wrapping, a craft workshop, a free clothes swap shop and live music and refreshments.

It is ambitious to head out to Oxford street on the first Advent Saturday...it's not for the faint hearted!  I think this would be a nice incentive to go, and a haven from all the madness (as well as our shop of course!).  I still have flash back memories as a kid, being lost on Oxford Street doing the Christmas shopping with my family.  People can get vicious!

Merry Christmas :)

Start them young

Graham Carter Exhibiton

On our Staircase Gallery wall we currently have an exhibiton from Brighton based illustrator Graham Carter.  They are really stunning prints, so come on down and check them out!  The exhibiton "Monsters, Owls and Antlers" is running until 14th December.
