It is fair to say that the Wee Do Lectures, in both the London and Bristol locations, have been fantastically well received.  There is clearly a real enthusiasm for building a community based around the sharing of knowledge and ideas.

I don't know about you, but I love to watch women's specific sports movies.  I love to see how women bring something different in style and progression.  It inspires me to push myself further, to get over my stupid fears and ride the best I can.  I suck at surfing...but watching the trailer for 'Dear & Yonder', Roxy's new international surf movie, gets me stoked!

Check out their website for more info.

Paul has just told me about his weekend at the Goodwood festival which he blogged about earlier today, Peter  Fonda riding up the hill on his Easy rider bike got me bad.

Way back last summer one of our photographers james shot some super 8 film during our Autumn/Winter photoshoot. They got processed and then sat gathering dust for all this time.

So better late than never. Here is the first one.

Although the weather is glorious at the moment, my thoughts have been waining towards this coming winter.  There are lots of ski and snowboard movie teasers being released for 09/10 online at the moment.  Infact more and more are being uploaded by the day.  But they is one in particular that caught my eye...

They Came From 3D

Just when you thought you couldn't get any more stoked when you watched movies of your favorite riders pulling off immense tricks; Factor films (a snowboard movie production company) are due to release They Came From this autumn- in 3D!!!  I watched the teaser trailer (without 3D specks unfortunately) and it looks amazing.

Check out the full (non-3D) trailer here

London: Wee DO talk – SAS

Just a quick reminder that Surfers Against Sewage are going to be giving a talk at the Carnaby Street shop on Wednesday night starting at 7.30pm.  We are restricted in numbers and have already given away most of the tickets.  However, we do still have a couple available.  It is a free event - just give us a ring (0207 287 2345) and we will reserve a ticket for you.

We will have beer (supplied by Pitfield Brewery) and softdrinks.  It is the first of our London Wee DO talks - we hope that they will become a regular event for the London community (and beyond via video podcasts), so come along and join us.

On Wednesday 20th May Surfers Against Sewage will be giving a talk in our Carnaby Street (London) store on their work to clean up the waters around Britian.

Tickets are free and there will be beer and snacks available throughout the evening.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the talk should get underway at 7.45pm.

We only have a limited number of tickets available.  Should you be interested just pop into the store, or give us a ring, and we will put your name down and give you a ticket - simple as that.

The talks will also be filmed and put onto our DO Lectures website - so make sure you brush your hair and shine your shoes.

An interesting talk, maybe a short film, sparkling beverages, and tasty snacks.  All without having to pay one of those outrageous booking fees.  There hasn't been a deal like this since Woolies bit the dust.
