One of our lovely customers, Soraya Smithson just rang to place an order with us (we like it when people do this).

She happened to mention that she liked the Tea Appreciation Society feature in our Spring catalogue, and she thought we might like her own website as well. A Cake For Every Day

The 'A Cake for Every Day' project celebrates the tradition of marking dates, events and seasons with a succession of bakery produce. The project is led by artist Soraya Smithson working in partnership with Askers, a small independent bakery in Stamford, Lincolnshire. From Tuesday 24th February to Monday 13th April 2009 the 'Daily' cake will be made by the bakery, labelled and displayed centre stage in the window of Askers shop.

'A Cake for Every Day' invites participation via an everyday ritual - simply going to the bakery makes you part of the project.

It looks great, and I love the idea!
