Tea Time!

Some of you may know that it's Fairtrade Fortnight until the 7th March! To celebrate this, the people at Fairtrade are running the 'Big Swap' and are asking us to swap our usual stuff for Fairtrade stuff. The usual bananas for Fairtrade bananas and your usual cuppa for a Fairtrade cuppa. Get involved and register your swap...http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/thebigswap/about_the_big_swap/

We've got some Fairtrade tea from our friends at Clipper so if you're popping by the shop and fancy a cuppa then just come in and we'll stick the kettle on!

Wee Do - Shared Interest

here's a taster of the Shared Interest lecture we had at the shop last week, there was some very interesting stuff about how a Fairtrade Co-operative really works.

information about our next talk will be up here shortly!

Fair Christmas Fayre

If you are going to be doing your Christmas shopping in London this weekend, it would be worth checking out the Fair Trade Christmas Fayre at the Salvation Army on Oxford Street.  They've got eco gifts, recycled gift wrapping, a craft workshop, a free clothes swap shop and live music and refreshments.

It is ambitious to head out to Oxford street on the first Advent Saturday...it's not for the faint hearted!  I think this would be a nice incentive to go, and a haven from all the madness (as well as our shop of course!).  I still have flash back memories as a kid, being lost on Oxford Street doing the Christmas shopping with my family.  People can get vicious!

Merry Christmas :)
