10 things I can't do without at the moment:

1. Sunday roasts on Tuesdays.

2. the smell of rain on hot concrete.

3. the Sun Kil Moon cover version of 'Never Ending Math Equation' - what a voice.

4. Heroes (starts on BBC2 next week) - US drama at it's best. Watch it now on tv-links.co.uk

5. the Butterkek biscuits Jon brought us from Germany (thanks for the book too).

6. my wetsuit - the sea is still a bit too cold for shorts.

7. Rotring drawing pens - my dad gave me a set years ago and they still glide like no other.

8. new Eplicly Later'd videos on VBS.TV

9. the Band of Horses album - still an everydayer even after 2 years.

10. the hope that the sun will shine one day soon.




10 things I can do without at the moment:

1. sugar - no more mid-morning shakes.

2. the property market - mortgages, 5% deposits, stupid house prices, estate agents. grrr.

3. the flu virus I can feel coming on.

4. my confusion surrounding medium format photography - holga or roleflex?

5. the fear that the Arcade Fire gig will sell out before I get tickets.

6. constant rain.

7. the mess the cowboy builders left on my stairs.

8. my irrational fear of deep water and what lies beneath.

9. the rattling exhaust on my car and its inevitible expensive replacement.

10. did I mention the constant rain?
