Everest experiment

Here's an interesting story about Graham Hoyland, a climber who has set out to prove that Sir Edmund Hilary wasn't actually the first person to reach the peak of the world's highest mountain, and that he may well have been beaten to it 29 years earlier by George Mallory and Sandy Irvine.
His experiment disproves the theory that Mallory's old-style clothing was the reason for his freezing to death and proves in fact that the natural fibres he wore actually perform better than modern oil-based fabrics ( something that howies has known for a while now ).
