No human contact

No human contact

6th September 2006 6:41PM, posted by Ade

I got stuck at Paddington yesterday.

My ticket mean't I couldn't use a "premium" train.

So I went to eat where the food comes round on a convayerbelt.

I sat and the food came round and i ate and no one spoke to me cause I never had to order.

No "hello how are you"
No "would you like..."
No "i'll be with you in a minute"
No "Everything ok?"
No "that tee shirt clashes with your hair"
No contact. They cooked, I ate.

All they said is "that's ten pounds" at the end.

And cause I had a tenner, he couldn't even tell me how much change I got.

I made up for it through heated debate with the ticket office, the information desk, the man at the barrier and the guard on the train. All of whom gave me different information on whether I could go home before 7pm.
